I'm talking about the holding of an absolute value or just the idea that there are absolute values I don't deny that there are absolute values out there. There may be. I have no way to know. I'm talking about the utilization of them in a culture. If they exist but we don't know it...well, that's sort of like the tree falling in the forest. It's irrelevant. but they are not intrinsically or automatically connected to any of them Can you tell me that, if you hold several absolute values, you would not as a father inculcate them? It seems to me that you would. You would insist within your little fiefdom that they be honored as such. Could you not and still think yourself a good father?
