Actually the people we've been fighting are the folks trying to destroy a country. Recntly they bombed day laborers waiting to get construction jobs.

And I am reading that the vast bulk of the suicide bombers aren't Iraqis, but are from other countries, primarily Saudi Arabia, but also others.

So they aren't destroying their own countries, but somebody else's country. Killing people who are just trying to get on with their lives.

Pretty sad. And not, IMO, a very positive reflection on Islam.

We are the folks destroying a country, and doing a pretty good job of it, too! I realize that Al Qaida has arrived in large numbers now, and they are killing Americans and Iraqis. But they weren't there at all when we went adventuring in Iraq. There was absolutely no reason for us to go to war there, but we did, so we have created this entire nightmare. It's really sad that so many Iraqi civilians are losing their lives, and that America has lost its reputation and the respect people around the world had for us.
