IMO, one of the most obvious examples of the degree to which the US media has kept this information out of the public eye is the Mariani RICO suit. The level of effort that has gone into attempts to dismiss the suit, and the subsequent failure of those efforts, is news that should be reported in a big way. Early on, it was just barely possible to squint at the case, play devil's advocate, and say, "Well, maybe we're looking at a bunch of conspiracy nuts, and the suit is frivolous.". The fact the case has survived those kind of attacks for a year, and is poised to go forward, makes Watergate and Iran Contra look like school boy pranks. By all rights, this should be news of an order of magnitude that every sighted person in America should know about it down to the last dirty detail. There should be journalists pouring over the complaint, discussing the details on the nightly news, writing editorials, blocking out time slots for special reports, etc.. That perhaps one person out of a thousand is even aware the complaint exists as an active case is staggering. As you and I have discussed on and off this board, I remain of the opinion the only way to run an end play around the media blackout is to publish a concise, comprehensive and coherent account of the issues and evidence involved, then mass distribute it door to door. Unfortunately, that sort of consolidated effort is unlikely to take place in the current environment of mud slinging throughout the 9/11 research community. As near as I can tell, something close to consensus exists on the majority of issues and core evidence. Yet instead of concentrating on those specific areas, the entire community has somehow fractured into internecine warfare over side issues and the more speculative aspects of the attacks.
