One week into driving season and all the far out oil futures are making 52 week highs:

Dec '08:

Dec '09:

I wonder how long it is going to take before all the producers are setting 52 week highs?

As Slider would say Tick Tock....

Buy leaps on the producers people!

OT: yes, I agree with your analysis regarding the put prices. The difference between us is that I am apparently much more bearish on the bubble than you. Not "...if it drops to $107" but rather "...when it drops to $107, and then lower. Much lower."

The 6-month time frame for the furthest out contract does give me pause, and I'm hoping to find some better pricing. Otherwise, I learned back in 1998 not to bet against bubble behavior.

My perception of this bubble is probably distorted by living in the SF Bay Area, where 3 BR/2BA 1600 sq ft shacks in marginal areas are going for upwards of $750K.

The Wall of Affordability is Coming.
