"We're headed for something ugly in IRAN."

In any military encounter with the US armed forces, Iran will respond asymmetrically. They will close the vital Straits of Hormuz with mass missile attacks, mines and fast small boat attacks. That would close off most of the flow of Middle East oil to the rest of the world, ensuring an economic smash-up. For the US, an outright ground attack on Iran is out of the question. The US does not have the manpower. That leaves the US with air attacks, cruise missiles, and with some possible commando raids inside Iranian territory. But that would mean a permanent US air campaign over Iran - and a global depression.

It's been 1357 days since Bush said he'd catch Osama bin Laden 'Dead or Alive!'

news.yahoo.com

"It (the search for bin Laden) has not gone into cold storage," swears British envoy to Pakistan Mark Lyall Grant, but it's hard to avoid drawing one of two conclusions at this late date: Either the Bushies are too stupid to catch bin Laden or they're not really trying.
