I believe I can refute both the comments;

You addressed them. I don't think you refuted them.

I agree that there are some Hispanics who support opposition to illegal immigration. But I think they are relatively few, and their voices can't come close to competing with the large Hispanic organizatioins that scream racism every time somebody suggests enforcing the immigration laws. Look what happened to the Minutemen whose stated goal was only to help law enforcement enforce the law. If it's a Block Watch on their own block, few if any people have a problem with it. If its a Block Watch on the border, it is excoriated by the Hispanic lobby. Politicians see this.

As to guest worker programs, why would employers want a more restrictive, government controlled program when what they have now is working so well for them?
