Nixon escalated more than Johnson, but Johnson and Nixon both were guilty. Kennedy was trying to end that frigging war. He did not have any major forces in there, mainly Green Berets working with Montagnards (see the movie Green Beret with John Wayne or read books about it). Kennedy may have been murdered by the rightwing war profiteers a la Halliburton along with the rightwing black ops smearvet CIA types and Hoover FBI folks. Most likely reason and culprits. Nixon's buddies could have been involved too. same guys he used for Watergate. Nixon was a terribly corrupt man. Quit trying to cover up for Nixon. Nixon was a creep. He only ended the war after 5 long deadly years because of major pressure from the GOP moderates and even many conservatives. Anyone with a brain basically. Also remember Nixon would have never gotten re-elected unless he'd have promised to end the war. But he kept it going for a long-long time and escalated it terribly. Shame on you for trying to whitewash his crimes for purely partisan reasons.
