Nonsense.

We needed and had a draft long before Vietnam.

Nixon did America a huge disservice by eliminating the draft. He could have accomplished the same political goal by stopping to draft, as was done right at the end of WWI, WWII and Korea.

Nixon let immature, loud-mouthed teen-agers set strategic national defense policy. That was idiotic.
