As for the Washington Times, it's hardly a newspaper. Just included it for conversation purposes.

It's been a tough political year for you. Go ahead, take it out on them. :>)

2005 New Jersey Governor Race
Polipundit

All night, I have been speaking with Tim Saler on the Republican Gubernatorial primary in New Jersey. He has put up some raw vote totals in the Garden State.

First, for the minor candidates, this was a very strong showing. Murphy certainly has a future in Morris County and statewide politics.

For Schundler, this is an extremely painful defeat. It was very close, and I’m sure his advisers feel that their lack of money caused the narrow loss. He could remain a viable candidate in the future if he endorses Forrester and seeks to unite the party.

Finally, for Doug Forrester, this is his second opportunity to win statewide. Needless to say, he is the candidate that Corzine does not want to face. He has pockets deep enough to offset Corzine’s advantage. Moreover, he has a demonstrated appeal in South Jersey, where Corzine is perceived as weakest.

I am not ready to say that this is a toss-up, but I am ready to declare that this race right now only leans Democratic.
