I suspect his son was stationed in one of the 4 Sunni provinces. There, I would have to agree things are tough. But Iraq has I believe 18 provinces and many of them are probably safer then the streets of Washington, D.C. Just because we have a snag in those 4 is no reason to give up on all 18. What would you have said in WWII when for two years we had our ass kicked around. Would you have surrendered? jdn

The marine son of one of Ed's (cnyd) buddies said "iraq is a fucking mess." He was just there. Do you dismiss this soldier as like one of those "teenagers"

Of course Iraq is a mess.
Iraq suffered under a brutal, bloody, murderous dictator for 30 years and is now suffering multiple daily deadly attacks by murderous Muslim militant terrorists from many nations.

America will become a fkn mess too, if that happens to us.

Just one such attack threw this country into turmoil for 18 months. Imagine the impact of 5 attacks a day, day after day, week after week, month after month.

Would you have us and Iraq quit the fight and submit because our enemies are ruthless and persistent?
