Maurice were you under the impression that I think there is nothing good about America?! If that was the case I wouldn't be here. Business is freer here than almost anywhere else (perhaps Bolivia or Columbia are freer ;) And there is still more freedom of information here than any other country. There is a technically competent workforce and work ethics are better than most places. The country has good infrastructure, great technology, and natural resources too. Nor is the "demographic bomb" nearly half as bad here as in Europe or Japan. America has enough going for it that it would be a top rated nation even without the free money machine and the imperial troopers.

But those two items it would be only one amongst many and not a hyperpower. By your own calculation "The value of the US$ pixelation process to the USA is about $500 billion a year". This alone is half the imperial budget. It is more than all the OPEC oil revenue combined. And it is more than the defense budget of all the other countries on earth combined. Give me this money and I bet I could build me an empire too. I think you've rather proven my point.
