A fiasco in Iraq might help the democrats more than Dean can hurt them. We'll just have to see how it all plays out (and a draft would be deadly, imo, to the republicans).

To be relevant the democratic party needs to heat up the rhetoric and take the fight to the republicans/fundamentalists.

To do otherwise will be the death of the party. If they try to pull another middle-of-the-road scheme on us in 2008 the giant sucking sound will be dems leaving the party and joining the reform party or the greens.

This is a cold civil war and the dems must give no quarter.
