Kerry and McCain led the fight to normalize relations with Vietnam. Of course they're honored there. Kerry would also be honored for his courageous efforts to end that horrendous war. The whole world should be honoring him for that, especially the Vietnamese who were the main victims of that atrocious mistake, a war based on lies which went on for ten years. The US has never made a bigger mistake that escalatating that advisory support action into a full-scale war.
