If Bush lied (as is widely circulated) he should be impeached. It's a little convenient for the loyal opposition to have voted one way, then make political hay later. It's a winning issue in the long run because we have no stomach for protracted military engagements, casualties and the tragedies of war. Yet, regime change might have been avoided if the UN showed some courage rather than work the oil for food deals. I did hear about a UN report the other day complaining that weapons materials have gone missing from Iraq, biological, etc., that up to now were not supposed to have existed there. Sounds like having your cake and eating it too. I haven't looked for the report or the story. However, if Blair and everyone lied to achieve regime change they should be punished. I just doubt it. Powell on the Daly show the other night didn't sound like a liar, and neither does Blair when I hear him on the issue. The more rhetoric escalates, the less believable I find it. Saying that Watergate or the Clinton impeachment was about "saving democracy" and "our form of government," " and public integrity" are examples. Bush as Nazi running Gulags doesn't ring true to me either. We'll see at the ballots. I am just back from 5 months in Mexico so I am not current, happily having escaped much of the politics mess while there. No love wasted on Bush, the war, or the death penalty there either, in case you wondered LOL.

Here's an interesting audio program on how our troops are exposed to depleted uranium in Iraq...
