Group extremism involves loyalty to tribe, religion, race, national origin, extreme liberal chaos, extreme oppressive totalitarianism, etc. It is the false sense of devotion to a heritage with in a group that tends to corrupt one to the extreme. No matter where people are in the political spectra, it seems holding a lamp over some extreme element from another camp is a common tactic. Everyone seems to be able to identify an extremist enemy. Where as, few are able to recognize this enemy within their own groups. Regards, Gem
