Yes, I realize that. Makes it very simple to justify also.
Problem is, our govt. and US corporations lied to workers when they told them in the 1980s and 1990s that there would be an IT shortage going forward for decades, and encouraged, actively, people pursuing these careers, only to drop them when it was convenient for themselves.

So, the workers are SOL.

Simple truth. Owners and large shareholders like outsourcing if it can deliver comparable results for a lower price. Employees don't.

Owners have to make sure that their business is competitive. If a competitor uses automation and gets rid of some jobs, they have to follow or go out of business. Similarly, if another competitor uses outsourcing to lower costs, others have to follow, unless they have discovered very generous clients who are willing to pay more for the same services.
