Even a party trying to be in the middle will probably resemble one party more than the other at any given time which can throw the election to the party most distant from the new party. Tim you are thinking partisan. Think pragmatic and think solutions. The idea of this thread is that a policy that works, regardless of it is conservative, liberal or libertarian or whatever is open for debate, refinement, approval or rejection. No ego, no dogma, just pragmatism. The goal is five principles, and ten platform items. The only qualifier is that they have to benefit the middle class and those aspiring to the middle class. If it goes nowhere from here, so be it. If you don't think it's worth your time, then don't contribute. I happen to think you have a valuable perspective. Is it better than a bunch of politically polarized folks snipping at each other on these threads? You decide. John If you want to address specific issues, like the car purchase credit/tax, let's do it in separate, one issue posts.
