re: "I don't see how Bush has committed treason."

Do you consider undermining our constitution, treason? Where one needs the consent of congress to declare war. Bush didn't get that.. And what do we have now?.. WAR..

Do you consider LYING to get into this war, treason?

Do you consider undermining OUR American way, treason?.. Nothing in the constitution about that, of course, but isn't there something called common law, which over rides a lot of written law?..

I am way out of my area of expertise here in WRITTEN law, but I am NOT out of my area of expertise in MORALITY and the definition..

Of TREASON..

D**N! A reasonable response!

I question SOTU. No oath.

Treaties? Find the right clauses in the right ones and you could make a case. Thing is, I think the case would apply just as well against Clinton, Bush 41, Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Nixon, LBJ, JFK, Eisenhower, Truman, FDR, .....
and I don't think you could sell it to Congress.

committing war crimes
What war crimes? And they'd be applicable only if they are part of US law or a treaty the US is party to.

And the findings would probably apply to all those other guys to, and Congress isn't going to go along with conditions that make defense of the country and reaction to threats impossible.

There are strong indications that the US violated (and continues to violate) the Geneva convention.
What evidence?

There is also evidence of War Crimes, especially systematic killing of innocent civilians
What evidence?
Do you know what the American Army Air Force under FDR did to Berlin and Tokyo and numerous other cities during WW2?
So you think Bush will be impeached for less?

Remember My Lai? When was LBJ impeached?

and the use of illegal / banned weapons that are prohibited by treaties the US has signed.
Such as?

I suppose there are many other avenues for impeachment. The best that Bush supporters can say anymore is that Bush is an incompetent naif, not completely aware of what is happening. Maybe they are right. If so, that is not impeachable, but the 25th amendment, section 4 might apply.
You really think a Republican Congress is going to do that?
