re: If I was President, I'd call Toyota's CEO and tell him that if he wants to help this country he should DECREASE prices on hybrids and increase prices on every other car.

We could do that for him (well not every other car, only the inefficient ones) by enacting the header energy plan.

Somebody mentioned that having a tax structure that penalized owners of SUVs would hurt families with children. I think the solution would be to put a heavy tax on gas guzzlers, but to credit it back during income tax season to people who claim say, more than 2 children as dependents.
