I read the articles you posted, but did not find evidence of marijuana being more deadly on the road than alcohol. The statistics are a bit misleading because lots of drunk drivers have also smoked marijuana before getting behind the wheel. And the drivers who get stoned and drive tend to be very heavy, habitual users of marijuana. All of that still does not end up with marijuana being as dangerous a drug to combine with driving, as we all know alcohol is. When there are significant fatality statistics for people who ONLY had marijuana in their systems without alcohol, then of course I will change my mind.

I would still prefer stoned to drunk drivers. But I have zero tolerance for the use of either drug by teenagers, of course. I did not let my daughter drink at all, or associate with people who were drinking or using drugs. I think parents who rationalize that one of these substances is less dangerous than the other are irrational.

a 1976 article in Lancet

I remember reading an article in the paper in the 70s that said men who smoked marijuana would grow breasts.
