<<Durbin is catching some heat from the Chicago media today, but it will have no real lasting effect. >>

And that is to the shame of Illinois.

Our own American POW's from other wars should band together, and DEMAND that Durbin give them an open hearing....One where he is made by the Nation as a whole, to listen in great depth just what has happened to them as POW's in other Nations.

He could go and just sit in the Holocaust Museum for a couple of days (we could toss in some bread pieces) just so he might get a bit of a flavor of what the terrible places the Germans kept were like.

And he certainly could go to his good friend Fidel and demand to actually see the prisons of Cuba. The Red Cross hasn't been in a single prison in Cuba for 15 years, I heard.

The Red Cross has an office at Gitmo.
