WiMAX & Qualcomm: OFDM Technologies for BWA

Tinker,

I would like to make you and others here aware that I just launched a new board here on SI with the descriptor above:

Subject 55919

With WiMAX due to begin certification of initial commercial fixed BWA product in October. and with 802.16e (Mobile WiMAX) due to complete initial standardization this year, and with QUALCOMM's recent purchase of Flarion with their Flash OFDM technology I thought that a focused discussion on these OFDM/OFDMA based technologies might be appropriate.

For openers I seeded the board with a dozen or so of the better articles on the Flarion acquisition, and then added articles that documented events within the WiMAX community from the last year. I also attempted to create a WiMAX FAQ and am doing a rewrite as we speak. When I complete that I'll post here also but some individuals that post here might wish to comment on the original draft (post 30) at the link above.

Best,

- Eric -
