Yes, but Saddam screwed up, he didn't win. So, he had to be taken out and a new plan implemented. Taking Saddam out took fifteen years and two small wars and that's where we are now.

I don't know if they're fundamentalists, or what, but it looks like the US has its hands full with all kinds of bad guys in Iraq right now -- certainly bad as far as the US is concerned. In fact one might even say the US has been hoisted on its own petard.
