At what level do you propose that people stop receiving benefits from the money they pay into SS?

I don't think that we should have created a program like SS in the first place, but now that we have it I suppose something like Bush's "progressive indexing" might be a way to go. Or we could cut off benefits when income is over 10 times the poverty level. If there is some reason against that particular level we could pick another one, I'm just tossing it out quickly. I haven't put a lot of thought in to the specific cut off point.


Not really. I've pushed the Ayn Rand thing.


Ayn Rand. Hmm. There certainly is some overlap in our thinking, although she is probably a more extreme libertarian than I am(as much as she didn't like the term it does fit her), and also was a somewhat militant atheist.
