When a pervert kidnaps and murders a child, do you go around proclaiming that America kidnaps and murders children? When someone robs a bank, do you proclaim that America robs banks? When a cop is convicted of beating his wife, do you proclaim that America promotes the beating of wives? You and other lefties disingenuously employ a nexus between acts of individuals and national policy. The acts of individual prison guards at Gitmo and Abu Graib -- having been discovered, investigated and prosecuted by the same authorities you accuse of wrong-doing -- are well documented and proven. But the national policies which you allege dictate those acts are figments of your imagination.
