i believe it showed Byrd feelings. he came right back after interview and explained it was a slip of the tongue. if so wonder where the slip came from.. a dream or personal feelings/actions.

Yes, he has a racist past that's shameful. Isn't it amazing how people who share similar views can engage in "mass thinking" and convince themselves that they're righteous while engaging in clearly immoral and destructive actions? Of course he's not the only senate leader who was raised in the culture of racism. Ed
