Redfish, you said: "That is why I wonder about the U.S.'s relationship with Israel." Israel is the only civilized nation in the Middle East. America and Israel has a strong bond of friendship. While Israeli discoveries are saving the lives of Americans, including American soldiers, Arab and moslem people are cutting off the heads of Americans and hijacking planes into our buildings. It puzzles me that you didn't know this. The nation seems very capable of providing for itself without U.S. military and economic aid ... America and Americans want to help America's friend Israel and keep Israel strong. America has too many enemies in the Middle East and only Israel as a strong friend. That is why, not only does our congress keep increasing the funding for Israel, individual donations to Israel are strong and increasing each year. why are we joined at the hip with them? Oh..... you think that because Israel doesn't have oil, we shouldn't support Israel? You think that we should be joined at the hip to the moslems and Arabs who frequently kill Americans?
