E-Wave is supposed to apply to stock indices and commodities and not neccessarily to individual stocks... expect lots of violations of standard patterns...

We are now in wave C of the current correction IMHO. Took a little longer getting here than I thought. But I picked the top in the Aussie market exactly (and switched a lot of funds and bought puts). In US market it has been more frustrating.

Something tells me that won't turn out to be an H&S on MMM.

Right this minute there is a clearer pattern on IBM. An absolutely perfect triangle correction looks like it just ended and it is heading to new lows. MMM likely is too. But if it is a triangle on IBM...is it a 4? If so then a major bounce is coming...at least.

BTW, you have a very real bullish risk on DD.

I would be very open-minded on that one.

I am not in the camp that says EW does not apply to individual stocks, never have been. They have worked for me better than the indices actually. I think only larger time frames should be used though, screw the wiggles.

Sometimes stocks wave perfectly, but that is not that common. Classic TA is the check and balance. Although I must say that ENER is a straight wave play:
