I wouldn't join debka's predictions of doom just yet. The Quartet is a fairly toothless organization, completely toothless in fact. If the US is looking for some sop to give Egypt and SA, and some commitment that might give the US leverage over them when they renege, this sounds like it fits the bill.

all this was done in exchange that the Saudis will buy tons of US debt to stem the fall of the USD in a meeting between Bush and Abdulla at Bush ranch in Texas during April this year. IMHO as it failed to keep it’s house in order free of political bickering corruption and cronyism which may have prompted Bush suspicion.

IMHO Israel should FIRST clean their own house starting with the corruption going on with the Israeli banks and labor organization
