~25% are against civilians the rest against US or Iraqi military or police.

Iraqi military police are not invaders. I think it was Time or something where I was reading that the suicide bombs are largely against Iraqis because the coalition's armor cars and stuff are too hard to penetrate.

the number of suicide bombers is increasing every month.

I haven't seen these stats, but it certainly doesn't seem like something that can go on for years. I don't think the US is even likely to stay in Iraq for years. There had better be progress or I'll be the Dems will win 2008 on an exit Iraq platform.

We don't want to be there to police another country!

"Frankly, I'm amazed it is even occurring now. It demonstrates to me the truly evil nature of the leadership of the insurgent/killers, that they are convincing their impressionable youngsters to kill themselves and other Iraqis because.......why?"

Its amazing to me that Elroy can make statements like the above. Not that its all that important at this stage of the game but its apparent that some Americans are having trouble understanding why things are screwed up in Iraq. They get that its screwed up but they can't seem to figure out why.
