No, to the insurgents I think the Iraqi police and military are seen as collaborators, not neutrals. They probably figure if no one was cooperating, the US would have to leave.

Come on, how much do you really know what goes on in the mind of the insurgent/killers in Iraq? Are you telling me you really understand the thought process of a Yemeni suicide bomber that kills 20+ young Iraqis looking for jobs? I find that hard to believe.

Almost the entire population calls Iraq a war. You can't fight that.

Sure I can. I can use proper rhetoric to describe a situation, and point out the administration uses improper rhetoric because it suits their interests. There is no way that what is going on with the coalition today in Iraq should be described as a war, in any classical sense of the word "war". There is no war in Belfast, Aceh or Nepal; rather, their are guerillas that the governments of those regions are trying to either destroy or integrate into the social fabric. It's not war, regardless of the rhetoric used by the US government.
