It's just starting to seep in; it will take years. -------- That's hard to read esp. for those of us who knew it was wrong from the get go. People are losing their lives because these people can't deal with reality. Its very sad! Welcome to Vietnam redux. It was incomprehensible then, it's incomprehensible now. There is no "win", because the mission wasn't honorable. The hawks and semi-hawks (the blind patriots) will drag this thing out as long as they can, because they don't want to "lose". They will self-deceive, they will embrace and promote any fiction because they just can't grasp that the US is wrong and not omnipotent and is not morally superior. They are "patriots" first, foremost and only (love it or leave it). The rest of us shake our heads just can't figure out why all these people are being maimed and dying, to no effect. Been here, done this. It just gets worse the second time around. John
