y2kate Re: "Irish" I could add a very close friend of mine, an Irish immigrant guy who came from nothing and whose mother never even learned English. Over his long career he employed and paid VERY WELL thousands of people, me included. He gave fantastic amounts to all sorts of charity and finally sold his business for over $150 million. Knowing the man and being aware of Bono, I bet my friend contributed more of benefit to the world than Bono. And he did it all without the benefit of any silver spoon or any other advantage other than his personal gifts and love of hard work. Slagle

Thanks for your comment. Bono is someone I have mixed respect for. He's certainly a fine musician and a bard for the age. But he hangs out with way too many folks on the dark side for my tastes. <grin>

Bono - isn't he that guy that was in that movie million dollar hotel? SPOILERS FOLLOW I think I saw him sitting at the bar in one of the minor cut scenes - what a great movie - tim roth screws this slut ho - tells the retard he fugged nothing because she was nothing - and the retardo kills the guy for talking bad about his pretend fantasy princess - my respect went up for Bono tremendously after this movie - I have seen so many worthless nothing ho's from cleopatra on up to fleiss and lewinsky today cause immeasurable suffering because they thought they had gold growing on thier body and got sucker men to do very destructive things to try and PROVE that power was real to themselves - hoarding the stinky hole as a way to exert power and control on helpless men - poor adam never stood a chance in the garden of eden. What was it Bono sang - can't live with you and can't kill you? what a great song Bono is a great guy. Then he sang how he climbed the highest mountain and scaled city walls to be with her, but I guess he still couldn't find what he was looking for - HAHA.
