Seem to have no systemic bias towards balanced budgets, now do they?

I'd argue that mandated balanced budgets (except in times of declared war or temporary national crisis....) would provoke no more 'havoc' then the Fed's ability to manufacture fiat currency out of thin air, *far in excess* of GNP growth, has!

And, you *support* of constant deficit spending would seem to put you firmly on the side of an ever bigger government.

As Ronald Reagan always pointed out: it's the feeding of the government that promotes it's growth.
