There is a slight difference between what you think you read: I don't believe doctors in Basra are routinely beaten up for treating Iraqi female patients, and what you actually read: Physicians have been beaten for treating female patients.

So you said "Given the inaccuracy of the lead sentence, I didn't even bother to read the rest of the article."

So you start to read an article that goes against your opinion, you *misread the first sentence, then disregard the entire article, label it bull shit, and return to your comfortable position on the issue.

Open minded, intellectually curious? I don't think so. Myopic is a better description.
