Yeah Kerry screwed up big time with that comment. But the fact is this "war" could have been prosecuted better with less loss of life on both sides and may have been over by now. The Pentagon and Colin Powell both knew what it would take. Rummy had another plan, which has been proven to be a total disaster. This man is a danger to our society and must be stopped. He simply must be fired NOW. Why Bush keeps him on punctuates the lack of leadership ability at the helm. Lincoln won the Civil War and kept us one country by firing the incompetents until he found a general that could prosecute the war successfully. That's why we celebrate him today as a leader. It took guts and smarts to do what he did. He cared. Kerry just could'nt explain his strategy properly to your grandma and grandpa and the rednecks in the pickup truck states. The man in charge did not look for a humane, rational approach to this thing, like you or I would have if it were a business or personal decision in our lives. Bush is not a man with a conscience imo. He is no leader.

Kerry would have saved us billions in that 87 bill. All he wanted was for the money to be accounted for, then he would have voted for it. Now bilions have disappeared down a black hole and those billions could make a real difference. The rightwing had to smear Kerry's military expertise and heroism because they know their man's military policies were reckless, his Iraq war was failing and his policies were at least partly drawn up just to help corporate special interests like Big Oil and Halliburton. Kerry was 100% right about Iraq and we should all demand accountability when we hand over 87 billion to the DOD to do whatever they want with. You too will pay for this waste of money.
