After 9-11 Kerry could not publicly call Bush a liar, could he? That would have been un-patriotic. In fact no democrat did. Kerry did not challenge Bush's honesty until after he rushed into war ill-prepared.

You judge Kerry too harshly. He did not join Lieberman and Gephardt at the Rose Garden supporting Bush's war. He was very sceptical. Go back and read his speeches. You'll see. He was amazingly correct about the whole thing. Also, he could not have stopped Bush if he had tried.
