Niceguy re....No, I'm not when it comes to comparing Opteron technolgy and products to its competitors, and based upon what I've witnessed since Opteron's introduction, the reason for optimism is stronger now than ever before.

No matter what the merits of Opteron, as long as Intel controls the OEMs, AMD will always be in peril. If this lawsuit ends that, then, ond only then will AMD profit from Opteron. Don't look for that to happen overnight, and be prepared for short term stock losses, if the market perceives that Intel does indeed have a stranglehold on AMD.

As for phuddy, again, his posts are absurb from my vantage point
