If there was a shield law, Judith Miller would still have to reveal her source or go to jail.

One of the standards Miller would have to meet, to protect her source, is to show that the leak was in "the public interest". How can leaking Plame's name be in the public interest?

Of course I don't think Miller meets the requirements of "reporter" either.
