Whether it is voluntary or not the Military is controlled by the Civilain. You only control them only as long as they choose to volunteer to remain on duty. That choice is made (controlled) by each individual soldier not you civilians. Presently you civilians cannot even provide enough recruits to replenish the ranks. You have 4 boxes, one each for the Army, USAF, USMC, and Navy. You have been emptying these boxes for 10 months in a row. If you keep doing what you are doing, you are going to keep getting what you are getting. Doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results is insanity. Presently you continue to kick the boxes everyday. Every time, you civilians kick one of the 4 boxes a little more of the contents spills out. What you really need to do is learn how to fill the 4 boxes and keep them full. But that will require you to change and your fears won't allow you to do that. You anti-military civilians are trapped in a box of your own making and it is locked. You need someone to kick it so some of you can also spill out...but no soldier wants to do that, and none have. Instead, for the past 10 months, while you all have argued nonsense, the troops have been quietly voting with their feet. So far you all have been trying to buy your way out of your box. I have bad news, it ain't working. You are not going to buy your liberty with enlistment dollars dipped in bullshit. For just as you refuse to enlist or allow yours to enlist for smelly money...neither are others. You have three choices. Either get 110% behind the all-volunteer Armed Forces of The United States, or fill the boxes with your own family members via a draft, or learn to play with empty boxes.
