I'm not going to keep circling back on Muslim justifications for terror. It doesn't matter if they blame the West for crimes from 12 centuries ago or the beginning of the century. That is not a legal precedent for the terrorist bombings. You really do a lot of discredit to Muslims for even using such irrational justifications for murder. It pisses off Westerners to no limit. It creates ingnorance and hatred towards the bulk of Muslims, who are suffering from these jihadi terrorists. If anyone has an image problem today, it is the Islamic community and they know it. They have let the terrorists occupy their towns and villages in the guise of being freedom fighters. Once the freedom fighters move into town, it's a whole different story. The freedom fighters turn out to be religious fascists with no regard for Muslim life, except for their fanatical jihadi lifestyle. They have imposed their salafi doctrine against the will of the people. They prevent parents from sharing their Muslim culture with their children and replace it with wahhab fanaticism. They rape woman and reduce their status to the equivalent of private property. They withhold education and job placement for minority Muslim groups. They teach the children that impure Muslims, Jews and Christians will all burn in hell. The real question is how Islam is going to shut down the jihadi conundrum. The self righteous attitude of Islamic faith may be an admirable quality for Muslims. If jihad was limited to an individual striving to make himself a better Muslim, that would be fine. However, Muslims cannot use their religious ideals to attack other cultures under the guise of self defense. No one is buying that line of bullshit anymore. The terrorist that blows up a building in NYC or London is fulfilling a jihadi relgious assignment. It has nothing to do with protesting the rights of the Shi'a in Iraq. They are killing the Shi'a back in Iraq too. They are sacrificing themselves so that all Muslims become so scared that they embrace their radical commitment to salafi fundamentalism. I think the opposite effect is beginning to take place now that they have lost all moral authority in Islam. The salafi jihadis do not represent the common interests of Muslims, which have supported them through mistaken identity. They thought they were freedom fighters but they are really the thought police. Why doesn't anyone have the sense to reverse the Orwellian principles of totalitarianism against the Al Quaeda network? Muslims would have instant support if they stopped harboring terrorists like OBL, Zarquawi, and all the other AQ most wanted. They are starting to do a better job, and the press needs to start paying more attention to their progress.
