It's our economy they hit, ten. If you think about it, one thing all Americans agree on is commerce. WTC was our symbol of commerce. So they hit our biggest symbol. Hitting theirs would be a proportionate response.

LMindmeld, Wiping out the U.S.' WTC is dead on analagous to wiping out Mecca. No wonder people are talking about striking back at the Muslim world in a proportionate manner.

I'm not sure about the Twin Towers being "America's Mecca," even to the extremists, even before 9/11.
