Apparently meth is predominantly rural problem.

People in cities use it, too, but they use it to work longer hours. Truck drivers, store owners, interns working long hours in hospitals, even some cops. I don't think amphetamine abuse is very common, though, and it's certainly gone out of style among the urban middle-class.

Maybe the real problem is freebasing (relatively new)?
