A statistician, a mathematician and a logician were travelling by train from London to Edinburgh to attend a conference. Shortly after crossing the Scottish border they passed a flock of sheep, one of which was black.

"Ah", says the statistician, "I see they have black sheep in Scotland."

"No", says the mathematician, "you see that they have at least one black sheep."

"Not even that", says the logician, "you see one sheep where at least one side is black."
