Just don't pretend you can also pursue Al Qaeda

Terrorism is hard work.
If we quit agrivating the situation then natural inertia of the human spirit will make the issue receed into the background. If the U.S. is not in their face all their time then they will find that their local problems take up all their time.

My belief is that those who struck London fall into this category.

maybe if one or possibly two from the same club would have done it. But here we have a case of 3 perfectly timed and a 4. possible boggled events using all the same military grade highly efficient bombs... Not hardly IMO.

Add to that the following recent but for sure IMO significant info:

All 4 are now believed to have been blown up with their bombs.

Their credentials, ID et al or pieces of that were found on location!

Could you imagine a determined suicide bomber making his final trip to the location of his death carrying wallets with IDs and so forth with them? I find that very hard to believe.

So maybe its just very possible that these guys were sent up to deliver the bombs with precise instructions of when and where to leave them "so we can blow them up later when the rush hour is at its highest" or something like that. "Then, as soon as the package is delivered, make sure to get out in a hurry!"...

TP, so you're all for the liberal version of the Buchanan doctrine, just like Ted. Fair enough.

Just don't pretend you can also pursue Al Qaeda when it's pretty much turned more into an ideology than a real underground network. After all, any nutcase with a bomb can say "I work for Al Qaeda" without having any formal contact with Al Qaeda operatives. My belief is that those who struck London fall into this category.

There was a time pre Iraq when al Qa'ida was simply a terrorist organization and not an ideology. But thanks to a certain president and his party, those days are gone with the wind and now his people are trying to admonish the rest of us when we talk about going after al Qa'ida. This would all be very comical if it weren't such a disaster. ;~)

Congratulations...you have just described the nightmare scenario Osama was going for...in said scenario bush and blair are among his very best pals. Now what? Open the bomb bay like some here want to do? We'll need smarter bombs .... the ones that can at least manage to exclude children and other innocent folks from the evil doers. Or maybe they should be viewed as "collateral" coackaroaches, yes?
