At the Wellness Ctr.(gym) yesterday I was talking to an economist. He is a Mensa guy, very esoteric for an economist but he also owns an orchestra which plays all over Fl. at big events and is a physicist amongst other occupations.

I had been feeling energized but when I left him I felt very low. He said we.. the U.S. are borrowing 9 billion dollars day. And that China is currently buying out debt. That is what is keeping us afloat. However, he said that could end if China decided not to buy the debt . I said then what. He said well China is just about owning us. And the worst part no one in this Country seems to be aware or care...

He was all doom and gloom.. But with concern. He said he had just been talking with the President of Wharton Business School,( University Pa.) who said he is in a dilemma as to what to do with money. He sees us riding a wave of disaster financially and that there is no place to put money that is really safe. The value of homes is reflected in the diminution of the worth of the dollar.

Are these the kind of concerns you have. It makes me forget about the Emmy Awards, who is marrying whom in Hollywood and even some of these political machinations that are always with us...

I don't want us to be a lost country.... .

I don't think so.
In fact, I would say definitely not.

(Can't impeach a deputy chief of staff.)
