When the US stopped bombing the roads Hanoi it was lost.


I think its very hard to win a war when a country like the US is fighting an underground insurgency. It's why we are having so much trouble in Iraq. Given that Vietnam is mostly jungle, I suspect the fighting there was worse than in Iraq. Its not surprising that we gave it up.

And leaders of democratic countries need to get clear......you don't start a war that eventually will become unpopular. The only wars should be those that directly defend the homeland. The rest is just so much garbage.
