Can you cite any other precedent where an item in the State of the Union became an issue in a criminal trial?

I know of no other case where so bold a lie was told during the State of the Union Address. This was not the usual "I will propose .... " or subject line like "American youth are more prone to staying out late than when I was a kid ...". This was a clear lie made as a statement of fact with the intention of decieving Congress.

the intent of that clause in the Constitution is comparable to testifying under oath.

It makes no sense that the Constitution intended that the President merely talk to Congress with no implication that the information is correct. What would be the purpose? ... to prove that he is still alive? There is no reason for that clause unless the information demanded is accurate.
