We'll have to leave this for another day...btw, we did more than "back the mujahideen" for the most parts we created them. There are some unclassified CIA documents that I do not have handy now, and they show this as well as that for a long time CIA did not even think that Afghans could win the war; they (CIA) were just having fun being the biggest thorn in soviets' side...guess what, we can empower a sociopath (and I am refering to most Afghan warlords rather than OBL) to be a greater disruptive source than any sane person, but can we put the genie back in the bottle when we are done? CIA never felt putting the genie back in was a consideration.
