At night, twinkling white lights outline one of the city’s loveliest views, which has become known as Boathouse Row. This sculling course at the western edge of Center City is one of the most popular locations for regattas in the world. It was immortalized by Philadelphia artist Thomas Eakins. The best views are from the West River Drive, entering the city.
